Hello from our very spoilt farm cat Milly! She assumes her rightful position on the recliner chair & is very relaxed MOST of the time.
These past few weeks have been quite hectic for me, but of course, I always make time for what I enjoy most – quilting, of course! Yes, I’ve been busy working on those lovely customer quilts. If you follow me on Social Media, then I’m sure you’ve seen the latest project I’m working on – gorgeous, isn’t it? (I’ll talk more about that project on a separate blog about IQ designs on A1 quilting machines, so make sure to stay tuned!)
Now, speaking of beautiful quilts, I’m sure you would love to know the secrets to making “the perfect quilt”. Don’t worry, it’s easier than you think it is!
Apart from careful fabric and thread selection, one should have the right tools to create the perfect masterpiece. Ready-made patterns are always great, but the most basic tool you should have are RULERS. Yep, rulers. Regardless of your expertise level, rulers surely come in handy in creating your own beautiful and unique quilting designs for your quilts.
In line with that, I’m sure you’ll be glad to know that my No-Frills™ Collection is still on sale at 25% off! If you’re looking to create designs from scratch, then you better not miss out! Some rulers have now sold out & others are getting close…
I have included video tutorials on how to use circle and heart templates in my previous blogs, so make sure to check them out, if you haven’t already. In the meantime, have your pen and paper ready, as I bring you more easy-to-follow tutorial videos that also showcase the rest of the No Frills collection.
No-Frills™ CC Triarc Templates
Just a bit of background about CC Tri-Arcs – they were designed after receiving requests from longarmers who wanted to be able to quilt arcs in pieced blocks and who didn’t like the inaccuracy of freehand CC. By using these templates you are able to quilt both the short and long side of half square triangles without having to work with large, awkward circles or having to use multiple templates. There are five different size rulers to suit 1 1/2″, 2″, 3″, 4″ & 5″ blocks!

No-Frills™ Swag Rulers
The swag rulers come in 2 sizes! You can now make beautiful swags quickly and effortlessly in approx 5″ & 8″ sizes with multiple arcs.
Here’s a 3-part tutorial showing you how to create swag borders:
Look at this beauty! Designed and quilted using No-Frills™ Swag Rulers! See the tiny pumpkin seeds in the dark pink border? This was done with a CC Triarc ruler to get them close to perfect.
