Harvest Time

Harvest Time’ was made for Tracey’s farmer husband for his birthday. His mum kindly gave him the ‘harvest/tractor’ fabric for Christmas & then proceeded to say that Tracey then had 6 months to turn a few pictures into a quilt in time for his birthday. The challenge was set & Tracey’s three small children assisted by warning her when dad was near so it would remain a surprise!

This quilt is suitable for any type of theme!! Imagine a fishy/sea fabric! You could appliqué cutouts of the fish & seaweed etc over the top of the ‘windows’ to make it look like you are inside an aquarium. Another lovely quilt would be a flower garden from inside your house. Imagine the bottom panes filled with larger denser flowers with the middle panes being smaller/further away and the top panes sparser with some sky in them. The only limit to this style of quilt is your imagination, so GO FOR IT!!
