Boy, has the year flown by, and now its panic time to get all those gifts made for Christmas! Plus a few customer quilts that I’d really like to complete before that time as well as I have most of January at the beach without my quilting machines handy. This time is used to recharge and work on my own hand sewn projects. Enjoy great company and relax ready for the rest of the year!
My first priority right now is to make this amazing Farmhand’s Christmas big stocking for my little grandson, Charlie, who will be 3 months old at Christmas. Perfect timing, and he may even still fit inside it when the time comes, but he is a solid little boy who is thriving here on the farm.
I only have 9 of these panels available and priced to sell for your Christmas easy projects this year. Normally $24 each but now only $18.50 for each panel.
Farmhand’s Christmas Big Stocking
Create a festive, oversized Christmas stocking with ease using our Farmhand’s Christmas Big Stocking panel! This delightful 80cm x 112cm panel, made from high-quality 100% cotton, provides everything you need to craft a charming stocking perfect for holding generous holiday treats. Simply cut, sew, and add your own personal touches for a handmade holiday keepsake.
To continue in the farming genre, I also have some gorgeous widebacks that work perfectly together. Charlie’s first floor quilt has one of these on the back, and his big sister prefers the tractors on the back to Winnie the Pooh that is on the front of this quilt. We love counting the tractors and finding all the colours! This quilt has also been featured in a recent online class that I presented over on Machine Quilting Academy called ‘Dynamic Borders and Corners’ The focus in this class is designing and executing the beautiful braided border using a computerised quilting system, BUT it also includes the full quilt pattern to make your own version of this quilt.
The next wideloads from Devonstone again in the same range is also on special! I can’t wait to use this one for my granddaughter!
Wideloads Red Tractor Cows on Pink
Perfect for quilters who seek both quality and versatility, this fabric ensures a smooth and durable finish, making it an essential addition to your fabric collection.
Some more new wideloads in tone on tone colours are a great addition to your stash. Very usable colours for both piecing and backings. I’m dreaming of using the dark charcoal as a top with applique to create a wholecloth one day. Let me know in the comments some of your dreams/inspiration on how you could use these incorporated in your quilt tops as well.
I’ve also got a couple of these Rainbow Jelly roll precuts in for Christmas!
Introducing the Traditional Christmas Rainbow Pack of Precut 2.5-inch Strips – the perfect blend of festive cheer and creative versatility to elevate all your projects!
No excuses now! Remember, you still have 52 days to go.
So I’d better get on with my sewing projects to get these done in time I think.
Happy quilting
