So the world has changed since COVID hit and one of the biggest changes for me was to learn how to share my knowledge and skills safely to more people.
Actually I’d already started dabbling in this concept before all this happened, but did focus harder when the choice of travelling was taken away from me. I had been researching many different software platforms to see how I could manage this and started out with a ‘summit’ platform and webinar software initially.
Naturally, I was always looking for a more affordable and tech friendly way to manage this part of my business.

There are many individual courses now available for both computerised quilters (focussed on Intelliquilter training) and also some freehand courses and business style courses)
BUT sidestepping for a bit – I’m also one of 13 keynote speakers for the first ever Live Impact Virtual Events Summit which will be focussing on Mastering the Live Aspects of Digital Businesses with some fantastic speakers covering all sorts of topics to help you run your own live events. This summit is FREE to attend and to watch the replays for as long as you like. No commitments, no cost! You simply need to register to receive reminder emails & links to the event when it is live.
It is only in a couple of days time on October 11th and runs for 12hrs. Starting at 9am BST. Whilst it is great to attend live so you can ask and receive answers to any questions, this has a global audience and as such the replays are going to be my best friend once it is all completed. My session will be 7.45pm ACST (Adelaide) and I’m the second speaker. The clock below will show the time in your own time zone!

So if any of you are interested in the software that I use and love, that has the absolute best support and training to ensure you are successful, then jump on this summit to learn more about how we do this and maybe consider for your own career in your chosen subject/passion.
So online has been my way of sharing my knowledge since January 2020, and I & my students around the world love the accessability.
BUT, nothing beats a face to face show for networking, fun, inspiration and learning!
Finally, after many postponements, the Australian Machine Quilting Festival is going ahead at the prestigous Adelaide Convention Centre once again from 10-13th November 2022. Not long to go, but you can still book classes and tickets online now.
And yes I will be teaching plus taking the shop – Constantine Quilts – plus my A1 Quilting machine & Intelliquilter for attendees to test drive.
Quilt giveaway competition at AMQ Festival!
We are planning to quilt a challenge quilt at the show over the 3 days, that will both demonstrate the A1 Quilting machine and the Intelliquilter design capabilities. AND this quilt will be a giveaway on the final day to all those that enter the competition. You don’t need to be there to win, but you do need to enter and provide your details to us to be able to both announce and deliver the quilt to you. More details coming soon on demonstration times and when the prize draw will occur on Sunday 13th November.
So would you like to WIN this wall quilt, fully quilted with binding stitched on for you to hand sew it down to the back? (Yes we will be demonstrating how to sew the binding on using the Longarm as well.) Click on the quilt image to enter your details. Postage within Australia is included, however International postage will be at your own cost to receive this prize.
I have 6 classes being offered. All are drawing classes with some video demonstrations as well. I strongly believe my students learn more by drawing the designs and then going home to practice and execute on their own familiar machine, rather than get overwhelmed using something different in the classroom.
Students and quilters fly in from across Australia and New Zealand for this event and I am so looking forward to catching up with everyone once again and spend MORE time chatting with you all, instead of running around managing everything!
Another bonus is the SA Quilter’s Guild ‘Festival of Quilts’ exhibition/competition being hosted in the same halls as the exhibitors! It will be an overload of inspirational quilts that you will want to see. Entry tickets to see the quilts and come shopping are available both online and at the door.
So I’m madly finishing up all my notes, handouts for my classes and preparing to pack lots of goodies for everyone needing their machine quilting supplies. If there is anything specific you want me to bring then get in touch to make sure I don’t leave it behind.
Until next time…. happy quilting!
Tracey
