Constantine Quilts Presents Part five of CQ#1

Sewing Instructions
Now is the time to finish this quilt!!

Collect all the 4 patch units from part 4 and the units from part 3. Set them out as per the picture making sure that each 4 patch has been rotated a quarter turn for each position. Look at the diagram carefully at this stage.

You will end up with 12 blocks looking like the diagram above.  Chain piece them all together. At this stage you could also be aware of fabric placement by trying not to have the same ones next to each other, but hey!! This is a scrappy quilt so don’t fuss too much….

Once you have completed the 12 blocks lay them out on your design wall until it pleases your eye! Sew together in rows and complete the quilt top.

This should be 45" x 60" at this stage.

I have then added a 1 1/2" wide black border to my quilt and then a 6" wide dark green border with 3D cube appliqués in one corner–but of course this is where you make your quilt an original and design your own border.  This is what your quilt top should look like.  The block is called "Cube lattice".

I do hope you have had fun doing this mystery quilt. I had fun designing & making it myself. It will be left on this site until I have the next one done for you!!
